Why did I start a magnet business?
Look, I didn’t plan this.
I wasn’t sitting around thinking, “You know what the world needs? More tiny rectangles stuck to refrigerators.”
But life’s weird. And sometimes you go through so much that starting a random business makes more sense than doing nothing.
This year’s been heavy.
Like, real-life, knock-the-wind-out-of-you kind of heavy.
And when things go sideways like that, you either shut down… or you create something that makes you feel human again. For me, that thing turned out to be custom photo magnets. I know. Not glamorous. Not world-changing. But you know what? They mean something.
They’re the picture of your kid making that goofy face you swore you’d never forget.
They’re that one sunset that actually made you stop scrolling.
They’re your dog. Your grandma. That moment that made you laugh when nothing else was working. And now they live on your fridge—where you actually see them. Not buried in your camera roll next to 12,000 screenshots of things you were supposed to read.
Why This Matters (Even If You Think It Doesn’t)
I started Magnetic Memories because I needed a reason to keep building. Something small. Something fun. Something mine. And maybe you’ve been through some stuff, too. Maybe you’re just trying to hold on to the moments that remind you who you are.
That’s what this is.
Not a business built to scale or pitch on Shark Tank. Just a little project with a lot of heart—and some accidentally decent magnets.
Wanna Be Part of It?
You don’t have to order. You don’t even have to like magnets (weird, but okay). But if you’ve got a photo that means something…
I’d be honored to turn it into a magnetic memory!
